People Inspiring Annie:
Kit Kemp – the interior designer and hotelier. She has a wonderful eye for color.
Duncan Grant and Vanessa Bell – Charleston Farmhouse is my spiritual home and where I first really
fell in love with painted furniture as an art form.
Georgia O’Keefe – the American modernist painter was fiercely independent of art trends (a bit like
me!). She had incredible powers of observation and noticed subtle nuances of color.
What a wonderful interview with the lovely Annie Sloan! I’ve been a fan of hers for years. Love her new chalk paints and waxes and am looking forward to getting a small project started. Thank you, Margo for bring such fascinating guests to your windowsill, and for bringing/drawing out the essence of who these marvelous people are and what keeps them going year after year in their creative businesses. You ask the perfect types of questions and immediately put your guests at ease. A lovely interview – I’m a huge fan.
